Hi, Dr. Steph Pinnow and Dr. Jonathon Pinnow here with Noble Choice Chiropractic, in Sun Prairie, WI.
We want to talk to you today about your lower back pain and exactly what we do in the office here in Sun Prairie, WI to help you get back to your very best.
When you come in, the very first thing we’re going to do is go through a consultation and find out everything about your low back pain history.
You see, it’s important for us to know when your symptoms of low back pain started.
Maybe it was yesterday with a car accident. Maybe it was years ago.
Possibly you had a lot of small things happen, or small changes with posture over time, and they’ve added up to something big.
And so we’ll do a deep dive into your history, and find out exactly what may be causing your symptoms.
And then from there, we’ll talk to you about all of the low back pain symptoms that you have and exactly what’s going on.
Where is your pain scale at?
What kind of pain is it?
What aggravates it and makes it worse?
And what makes it better?
We’ll go through all of these questions and more, and this will lead into our exam to help further understand your concerns for your low back pain.
Now the examinations that we do in our office are very specific to what your complaint is.
We do perform certain orthopedic and neurologic tests that help us determine what your condition is, or if it’s something we can help you with.
And if it’s not, then we’ll know to send you to the appropriate person.
These are very specific and they will enable us to really get to the root cause of your low back pain condition.
Then after your examination, you’re going to head over to get digital x-rays.
We’re really excited that we have digital x-rays onsite. There’s no wasted time sending you places, waiting for the x-rays to come back. We have them right here!
We’ll go through those X-rays, looking at you from a few different angles.
But we’ll also look at you with regard to movement.
You’re always moving in life. So we want to look at you with movement in your x-rays, and that allows us to find out exactly which segment or which bone in your lower back isn’t moving how it should (i.e. a subluxation).
And once we find those areas in your spine, we know where they’re not moving properly.
We know exactly how to help you alleviate your low back pain and what to fix going forward.
The x-rays give us a great black and white picture of where your subluxations are, where your spine is out of alignment.
From there is where we deliver the chiropractic adjustment. That puts everything back where it’s supposed to be.
It corrects that misalignment, and it gets you feeling and functioning better while decreasing that low back pain.
Besides an adjustment, we also do a lot more here. And each patient that comes to us does receive their own customized exercise plan.
Sometimes it’s exercise. Sometimes it’s lifestyle modifications.
It really is more of a guideline or a plan for you personally.
So if you are somebody who sits at a desk all-day, and you spend 10 hours sitting down hunched over at the computer, then you’re going to have a different plan than the hairdresser or the ironworker.
Making sure that we know everything that we can about you and your situation
and tailoring your plan to you so that you can have the best results possible is of the utmost importance.
Well, we’re looking forward to helping you with your low back pain and to meeting you soon.
